Today we had a little adventure to the nail salon. From the outside, it looked like it wasn't going to be a very good place to go but as I walked in I could feel the welcoming vibes and apparently so did Gigi. She ran straight to the nail chair and climbed up and plopped down like she was the queen of the place. She carried her pink rabbit with her and sat it in the chair next to her. I look down to see how Jo is responding to the new environment and she is all smiles as she claps her hands in excitement and lets out a little squeal.
For those who know me, I am not great with new places so I avoided eye contact at first. The guy working there asked me to sign in and I normally cannot understand a thing people with a strong Asian accent say. I stood in shock for a moment, realizing I had actually heard what he had asked me to do. It makes me even more anxious if I cannot understand what someone is saying to me. It feels like I am insulting someone to ask them to repeat something. I normally nod my head and pretend to understand. At this moment, I knew this was the place for me.
The guy asked me to come to his nail table and I pushed Jo over in her stroller to watch in amazement at what mommy was doing to her nails. I told him I would like to have acrylic in french tip style. As he got my nails ready I turned my head to watch Gigi. She was consumed in playing musical chairs, as well as placing her pink bunny rabbit in every chair possible. To my other side is little Jo, playing with my teething bling necklace and drooling all over her shirt. The guy had to make me relax a million times. I explained to him that being mom means I always have to be tense and ready for the next catastrophe. He smiled and laughed as he looked past me at Gigi sticking her hands in the nail dryer. I closed my eyes for a few minutes while he put the acrylics on and took deep breaths to help me relax. It felt great to have both the girls behaving and at the same time, me getting to do something for myself. I was surprised how quickly he was able to finish them.
I asked Gigi if she'd like to paint her nails for being such a big girl while mommy got hers done. She smiled and ran to the nail polishes to pick out which color she would like to have. She looked at the yellows, greens, purples, and blues but decided on a deep red. I felt this dark romantic color wasn't appropriate for a 2 year old young lady and picked out 3 shades of pink. There was a sparkly light pink, a matte darker pink, and a shiny bright pink. She looked them over closely and touched each one with her little pointing finger. She smiled and grabbed the shiny bright pink and started to giggle.
We headed over to the nail chair and she knew exactly what to do. She jumped in the chair so fast and hurried to stick her feet in the air. The nail tech lady bent down and opened the bottle of polish. Gigi was so excited she could barely contain the energy she had built up. She placed her little hands over her mouth and squealed. Gigi watched very closely as she painted each little toe nail. After finishing the first one, Gigi stopped and looked at her toes and laughed. Then she stuck out her other foot and started getting a little impatient wanting that one done too! The lady hurried to paint them and Gigi couldn't help but giggle even more. Finally they were finished and Gigi jumped down from the big chair and started walking around on her tip toes to show off her new toes. As she walked quickly around the store she ran straight into a chair because she was so consumed in her pretty pink nails.
Hope yall enjoyed today's story! We had a great day and Gigi is in love with her toes! :) I am still trying to get used to these nails, I have always had extremely short nails because I bite them. (EEEEEK, I know I shouldn't but it's my nervous habit!!) Thank yall so much for reading, means a lot to me!!! <3 <3

Welcome to my BLOGGGGGGG!
Hey yall! This is my VERY FIRST BLOG!!!!! WOOHOOOO!!!!! I'm not REALLY sure what I am suppose to do on this so it's gonna be a sorta diary that is PUBLIC. lol! :o) Maybe I'll get creative and figure something cool out to do here but until then, here's how my morning went! (I feel like doing an entire DAY would take forever to read, don't want to bore anyone! lol)
Our day started off great as we headed out the door before 10am without having to change clothes a hundred times from stains. I somehow avoided both girls pooping right as we walked out the door and just knew it was going to be a great morning! Driving over to my mom's house I was able to listen to some radio while the girls sat quietly watching their kitty party d.v.d. I dropped Jo off at Nana's house and Gigi had a total meltdown as she always does when she does not get to go in. I quickly reached for my secret weapon, which I call a shut up stick, a blow pop sucker! As I frantically wrestled to get it unwrapped I could hear the beast growing from a whiny "sucker, sucker" to a demonic "SUCKERRRRRRRRRRRRR.....(i am going to eat your brains if you don't give me that sucker bitch!)". The wrapper finally gave up and unraveled and as soon as the cherry flavor hit her lips, there was peace at last.
As we pull up to The Little Gym for Gigi's class I can hear her start to giggle with excitement. I adjust my rear view mirror so I can watch her face light up. We start walking to the building and as we walk by each car, Gigi has to say HELLO to every single car. After 10 hellos, I decide to carry her so we don't spend the rest of the day making friends with vehicles. Getting off the elevator she knows exactly where to go and runs all the way down the hall. As we walk in, her teacher is there to greet us. With a sad look on her face, she says her class is cancelled because Gigi was the only one who is enrolled. Poor girl could not understand that we wouldn't be playing today and she flew straight to the ground like a bolt of lightening. As I listened to what sounded like an excorsism behind me, I tried to gather my thoughts as I looked at the schedule to figure out what day would be best for us. I'm a stay at home mom so it's not like I have much "scheduled" but I stood there trying to THINK with a blank stare on my face. I look down at Gigi sprawled out on the floor like an injured seal and realized it would be best to pick a time not too early in the morning. I decided on a day and time and got her enrolled. Scooping Gigi off the floor I can tell she has exhausted herself from having her come-apart and is probably having a sugar crash by now. Her hair and face are covered with sticky so I grab a wipe and try to act like I'm playing a fun game with her so she doesn't get pissed that I'm wiping her face. She sees right through my trick I'm trying to pull. She starts to bite down hard and her body starts getting stiff, I know if I do not hurry up or stop, it's going to be another knock down drag out. I shake my head in defeat and stand back up. Sticky Gigi and I head back to the car.....
She falls asleep shortly after leaving and it's peaceful and quite. I breath a sigh of relief as I get to listen to the radio and enjoy a moment of being able to think clearly. As we pull up at Nana's house, I can see Jo is asleep on Poppa's chest. Gigi wakes up as I open my door and she squeaks out "Naaannnnaaaaa!!!!!!" I unbuckle her and she jumps down from her seat and runs as fast as her little bitty legs can take her. Every time we get to Nana's house, Gigi says "EAT EAT EAT!!!" I tell my mom that I swear I do feed her. She laughs and says "everything taste better at Nana's house."
AND that was our morning! Hope yall will continue to read my blogs. Not sure if I'll have time to do it EVERY day but I'm gonna give this a go and see how I like it. Seems like good therapy to talk about what happened! THANKS FOR READING!!!!!!!! LOVE YALL!!!!!!!!!!!!
